Freezing on the day of pressing halts enzymatic degradation and preserves the curcumin, gingerol and propolis compounds that make the shot functional. Heat pasteurisation would extend shelf life but destroy the active ingredients you're paying for.

Bee propolis isn't recommended during pregnancy or for children under one. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, on immunosuppressant medication, or have a known bee allergy, skip the propolis shot or check with your GP first.
