This policy explains how The Shot Club (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit theshotclub.co.uk, join our waitlist, or buy from us. We're based in Norfolk, UK, and act as the data controller.
What we collect
- Waitlist: name and email address you submit via our form.
- Orders (from launch): name, delivery address, email, phone, and payment metadata via Shopify.
- Emails to us: anything you send to hello@theshotclub.co.uk.
- Site usage: anonymous analytics if you consent (see our cookie policy).
Why we use it (lawful basis)
- To send waitlist updates and launch news — consent (you can unsubscribe any time).
- To fulfil orders and provide customer service — performance of a contract.
- To keep the site secure and improve it — legitimate interests.
- To meet legal obligations (tax, accounting) — legal obligation.
Who we share it with
- Mailchimp (Intuit) — waitlist and email marketing.
- Shopify — e-commerce, orders, payments (from launch).
- Lovable — hosting and site infrastructure.
- Cloudflare — CDN and DDoS protection.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Waitlist entries until you unsubscribe or we launch and clear the list. Order records for 6 years to meet UK tax rules. Analytics up to 12 months. Emails as long as needed to help you.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@theshotclub.co.uk. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Security
We use HTTPS across the site and rely on our processors' security controls. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password if you create an account when we launch.
Changes
We'll update the "last updated" date above when this policy changes and, if the change is significant, tell you by email or with a site notice.
